Finished.....

Well almost. As my sister says, it's been all but finished now for a couple weeks and I've been working on it, the problem is that I keep deciding to do more. But now I really think it's almost completely done. I just need to paint around the light fixture since we got a new one and do a little touchups in a couple of places on the wall.
The new light fixture (give me a break, it's hard to take a picture of a light)

The "true" color of the walls and mouldings

New towel bars, with matching toilet paper holder

Freshly painted countertop and vanity, complete with new knobs
New towels and bathmat

The "finished" product

Out with the old......

Bringing in the new (work in progress)

The whole thing started with an improptu service project helping a neighbor, who is getting ready to move, paint her bathroom. My friend Betsy and I were inspired and decided to paint my bathroom as well that afternoon. It's been 3 weeks and it's still not completely finished, but it's getting there and I'm ready to move on to another space in the house.
The orange countertop had to go so I decided to try to paint over it. I figured out if it hated the way it turned out, I hated the way it started, so I wouldn't be that much worse off. I'm still not done with it, but so far am very happy with the way it's turning out.
We painted the ceiling white and the walls Gobi Desert (a tan color)

I'm replacing the baseboards and casing around the door (as well as painting the door white and installing a new doorknob). I'm very proud of this piece of baseboard that I cut to size myself. If you look closely I even had to cut a notch in it to get it to fit under the counter. I was nervous, but after I cut it, it fit perfectly. I think I'll be pointing out this beauty to everyone for awhile. (**note*** I don't know how to use our new camera so the colors aren't turning out great, the baseboard is white and the wall the Gobi Desert color, but here they look the same!!)

Story Time!

Matt reads Jaycie and Lucy a story while Benson and David look on. Doesn't Matt look like he's ready to be a dad??

Snowpants

While getting ready to go out sledding in my parents backyard, Matt and my brother Brad decided to do a little fashion show for us in their skin tight snowpants. Luckily for all of us, they went and got snowpants that fit a little better the next day.

Christmas Morning

So far this is the only picture I can find of Matt and myself from our trip to Washington for Christmas. You'll have to enlarge the picture, were the ones in the very far back of the picture checking out the new Barbie horse that Aubrielle got for Christmas.

I guess that's one of the dangers of getting a new camera, you're too busy taking pictures to be in pictures!! Hopefully one of my siblings got some better shots.

Soccer in California

Aunt Emily with Aubrielle, Benson and Jaycie
This little girl will steal your heart! She was turning a lot of heads as she walking all over strutting her stuff at the soccer game.
Aubrielle was pronounced the best Real fan ever by the very drunk guy behind us :) She was dancing and cheering and showcasing her sassiness.
Matt had a hard time with the pressure of the game, but managed to not split open his pants when we "won". Ok tied, but we still advance to the next round, so that's a win in my book.
The whole Plaster family at the game. Camron refused to wear anything with Real Salt Lake on it, for fear that he would get beat up. We convinced him that since he went to Argentina for his mission and we have 2 players from Argentina on our team, that he could wear their national team jersey and be there to support them.
Matt and I are excited that there will be one more home game this season. We are looking forward to beating the New York Red Bulls this Saturday at Rio Tinto.
GO REAL!!
